Usually images found on the internet that mirror my own suburban upbringing. Lately my paintings are rarely derived from a single photograph. The use of photoshop and projectors has also become increasingly prevalent in my practice. Photographs are cut and rearranged, sometimes combined with drawings and text, projected and overlaid upon each other. This becomes the departure point for making a painting. In painting them I am striving to make something more coherent than just a composite.' Tom Boswell was born in London in 1984 and studied Fine Art at Goldsmiths. He continues to live and work in London.
