As a pioneer of the digital and mixed media arts during the past decade, I see pixels as the new brushstrokes; giving the 'imperfections' of the computer the same respect as that afforded to oil paint. Although my palette is limited, I believe colour is essential in contemporary photography. When in the studio, working with the subject is paramount - the photo sessions are not directed in any way. The whole process is more of a visual conversation with a camera present.
